如果內心沒有生起“為利有情願成佛”的作意，沒有這樣的希求與願力，哪怕是很歡喜地大聲念了十萬遍《大乘皈依發心偈》，也只是背誦文字而已，不一定是大乘發心。

[Mahayana Aspiration]
If the intent of “attaining Buddhahood in order to benefit all sentient beings” does not arise in the mind, if there is no such yearning and fervour, even 100,000 times of loud and joyous recitation of “Taking Refuge and Generating the Spirit of Enlightenment” are merely reciting words. It may not be making a Mahayana aspiration.
