【修行要竅 – 觀照內心消除增益】
我最近心情不好,自问一下:“我哪里不好?我最近好像很压抑、郁闷。”

用你的心眼去观察“我的忧郁”,你专注观察:“我的忧郁在哪里呢?”经过你观照、觉观,你会发现被你增益的那个部分会消失了——不是说压抑、郁闷全消失了,而是被你增益的那个部分,透过你的内省观照,增益的部分很快会消失了。

你会觉得:“欸?好像不至于像刚才那么忧郁啊!”会减轻一点,乃至于会减轻很多。

[The Key To Cultivation – Introspect to Eliminate Reinforcement]
Recently, I had been moody and asked myself, “What has happened to me? I feel dejected and depressed.”

Observe inwardly “I am depressed.” Examine carefully “what am I depressed about?” After your observation and reflection, you will discover that the portion where you have reinforced (negatively) has disappeared. It does not mean that all dejection and depression has vanished; it is the portion where you have reinforced (negatively) that has disappeared.

Through your introspection and self-reflection, the reinforced (negative) portion will quickly disappear.

You realise, “It looks like I am not as depressed as previously!” Your depression will subside a little; it may diminish a lot indeed.
