The Flower Adornment Sutra： Purification Practices

菩萨在家当愿众生知家性空免其逼迫　　

Púsà zàijiā dāng yuàn zhòngshēng zhī jiā xìng kōng miǎn qí bīpò

Bodhisattvas at home Should wish that all beings
Realise the nature of “home” is emptiness And escape its pressures.

孝事父母当愿众生善事于佛护养一切　

xiào shì fùmǔ dāng yuàn zhòngshēng shànshì yú fú hùyǎng yīqiè

While serving their parents, They should wish that all beings
Serve the Buddha well, Protecting and nourishing everyone.

妻子集会当愿众生怨亲平等永离贪著

qī zǐ jíhuì dāng yuàn zhòngshēng yuàn qīn píngděng yǒng lí tānzhe

While with their spouses and children, They should wish that all beings
Be impartial towards everyone And forever give up attachment.

若得五欲当愿众生拔除欲箭究竟安隐　

ruò dé wǔ yù dāng yuàn zhòngshēng báchú yù jiàn jiùjìng ān yǐn

If inflicted with five desires, They should wish that all beings
Pull out the arrow of lust And realise ultimate peace.

伎乐聚会当愿众生以法自娱了伎非实　

jì yue jùhuì dāng yuàn zhòngshēng yǐ fǎ zì yúliao jì fēi shí

On festive occasions They should wish that all beings
Enjoy themselves with dharma And realise amusement’s not real.

当愿众生：They should wish that all beings

怨亲平等，Be impartial towards everyone

永离贪着。And forever give up attachment.
