Grateful to have a group of fun-loving and virtuous friends to spend Mid Autumn Festival together. As Monday is our usual Lamrim class, we decided to watch a buddhist film together. We put in effort to make arrangement for our families’ Mid Autumn celebrations on other days for this gathering to be possible. Thankful to our families for their understanding to accommodate this arrangement. This also could not have been possible without Master Jih-Chang, and our Teacher who advocates learning joyously as a harmonious Lamrim community, spreading joy through our practice and cultivation.
On the evening of 24.9.18, our Lamrim class, S15G027E gathered at LIDO, Shaw House to watch the film, “ONE MIND” featured by THIS (Thus Have I Seen) Buddhist Film Festival 2018. We were glad to find our friends from the Chinatown District who were also there to catch the same film!
Today is a special day. It is Mid Autumn Festival and also our Monitor Tiong Boon’s birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONITOR! THANKS FOR SPENDING YOUR BIRTHDAY WITH US AND BROUGHT ALONG YOUR WIFE TO JOIN OUR BONDING ACTIVITY!
We took this opportunity to show appreciation to our Monitors: Tiong Boon, Samuel and Serena (who is currently on a Dharma Seeking Trip) as well as our Care Co-ordinators: Sock Choo and Nina. This team worked together after a long day’s work in the office on a not so blue Monday so that we will learn and continue to come and learn Lamrim in Chinatown district! Last year, our APPRECIATION DAY FOR MONITORS AND CCS was around Teachers’ Day but this year, it is a joint celebration with Mid Autumn!

We will have one more round of appreciation gift presentation when Co-monitor, Serena returns from PEI! Mega rejoice her virtuous journey ! She messaged to say that she will be visualising our class with her during this auspicious Dharma seeking trip as she attends lessons and during her virtuous deeds! OMAK Co-monitor, Serena!

We also have a small token engraved with our Monitors’ names on our gifts of tea to them during this Mid Autumn season of mooncakes! Thanks, Sock Choo for the thoughtful arrangement on behalf of the class.
With our cultivation of listening, watching and contemplating of the Dharma in the Buddhist film as well as happy bonding as practitioners and appreciation ceremony, we offer all the merits on this evening to our beloved MASTER RICHANG, our TEACHER and the TRIPLE GEM!
